On September 30th we bid farewell to Shirley Melnicoe, our Executive Director of 23 years.  And we welcomed Mauricio Vela as our new E.D.. Mauricio has worked in the non-profit world for 25 years, as staff, program director, executive director, and consultant. He was born and raised in San Francisco, graduated from UC Berkeley, and is the father of two grown sons. He serves on the board of Coleman Advocates for Children and Youth and the Jamestown Community Center.
